Our Suggestions

Luggage

Please note that luggage is limited to 2 pieces per person and must not exceed 15 kg per person. They should be left at the reception desk of each hotel every morning by 10 am. The taxi company does not take responsibility for damage during the transport of personal effects which are not considered regular luggage or are not of standard size (eg: computer, glass bottles etc)

Your Day Pack

A light back pack is enough for cycling days. We suggest you bring:

  • Camera
  • Rain jacket
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • A knife
  • Picnic kit
  • Cereals bars
  • Water bottle
  • Emergency kit
  • Toilets paper
  • wet wipes (for hand cleaning)

In your emergency kit we suggest you bring: bandaids, disinfecting wet wipes, paracetamol tablets, pomade for muscular pain.

Insurance

Our rates do not include insurance for the bikes or for the clients in case of accident. We advise participants to take out their own insurance for these risks.

Lunches

On your journey, you will ride through villages where you can pick up supplies from the local shops (butchers, bakeries, supermarkets etc) for your picnic. Your itinerary will let you know whether you will find shops on your trip each day. If there are no shops on the itinerary for the coming day, you will need to buy food before leaving. Also, keep in mind that generally in small villages, shops are closed on Sundays and Mondays. This is why we suggest you always have some snacks with you!

FAQ

Are the tours guided?

All the tours are self-guided. This gives you more flexibility, you start when you want and you go at your own pace.

Luggage

Your luggage is transferred every day from your overnight hotel to the next one, generally by the hotelier, sometimes by the local operator.

Hotels

Your hotels have been carefully selected to provide good value and quality in the category selected. Generally you will travel to a new hotel each day (excluding Star Tours). Star Tours are based in the same hotel for the whole duration from which you can explore the surrounding country side. Hotel names can not be given before the booking is confirmed as they may vary depending on availability at time of confirmation.
